Our Titlewish Came True!

HUGE thanks to everyone who donated to the Ridley High School Library’s recent TITLEWISH fundraiser! We received $815 in donations! What’s more, Follett Library Resources (our Titlewish sponsor) matched 10% of every dollar raised. That means that we have almost $900 to spend on brand new books for the library! I am so proud to be part of a school community that made this fundraiser a resounding success for the THIRD year in a row!

If you know of a book that you would like to see in the school library, please leave me a comment and I will add it to the order! And look for the new books to arrive in April … they will definitely include this “OMG I Can’t Wait to Read This One” book!

nearly_gone

A quick plot summary: Nearly Gone by Elle Cosimano is a big, dark, scary urban thriller that has been described as Bones meets Fringe! Nearly, a math-whiz from a trailer park, discovers that she’s the only student capable of unraveling cryptic newspaper ads left by a serial killer who’s systematically getting rid of her classmates. She confides in the one person she shouldn’t trust: the new guy at school, a reformed bad boy working undercover for the police, doing surveillance. . . on her.

Murder, cryptic clues, and a reformed bad boy?! Now THAT’S what Titlewishes are made of!
