RHS Book Club Pick: We Were Liars

On February 25, Mrs. Monte and Ms. Pickett welcomed avid readers in grades 9 through 12 to the Library for the most recent meeting of Ridley High School’s brand new BOOK CLUB to discuss All the Bright Places by Jennifer Niven! This bittersweet romance was a huge hit with our students and is actually their favorite book of the school year (so far … I’ll Give You the Sun by Jandy Nelson may be a strong contender!). Book Club members unanimously agreed on our next read from among the fifteen Pennsylvania Reader’s Choice Award nominees: We Were Liars by E. Lockhart! Copies of the book are available to our student book club members thanks to the library’s Dollar General grant. We’ll meet again on Thursday, March 17 in the Library to discuss this puzzling, twisty novel and make sure each student has a copy of I’ll Give You the Sun to read over Spring Break. We’ll also get ready to cast our ballots this April for the Pennsylvania Reader’s Choice Award winner for 2016!
