The Big Library Read is Here!

Big Library Read is the first-ever “global eBook club,” connecting people around the world who read the same eBook (or listen to the audiobook) at the same time! The new selection is Flat Broke with Two Goats: A Memoir of Appalachia by Jennifer McGaha! This is a charming true story of the author’s unexpected journey from country chic to backwoods barnyard. In other words, when life gets your goat … bring in the herd!BigLibraryRead

Here’s a quick summary from the publisher:

When Jennifer discovered that she and her husband owed back taxes—a lot of back taxes—her world changed. They foreclosed on their beloved suburban home and moved their family to a one-hundred-year-old cabin in a North Carolina holler. Soon enough, Jennifer’s life began to closely resemble her Appalachian ancestors. But what started as a last-ditch effort to settle debts became a journey that revealed both the joys and challenges of living close to the land. Flat Broke with Two Goats blends stories of homesteading with the journey of a family rediscovering the true meaning of home.

The Big Library Read is here!

Big Library Read is the first-ever “global eBook club,” connecting people around the world who read the same eBook (or listen to the audiobook) at the same time! The new selection is The Other Einstein by Marie Benedict!BLROtherEinstein

Here’s a quick summary from the publisher:

Mitza Maric was always a little different from other girls. Most twenty-year-olds would be married with childrenby now, not studying physics at an elite Zurich university with only male students trying to outdo her clever calculations. But Mitza is smart enough to know that, for her, math is an easier path than marriage. And then fellow student Albert Einstein takes an interest in her, and they form a partnership of the mind and the heart. But there might not be room for more than one genius in a marriage … The Other Einstein offers us a window into a brilliant, fascinating woman whose light was lost in Albert Einstein’s enormous shadow.
