Can a book be both COOL and HOT?

Yes! If it’s one of these super summer reads, that is.

Jersey Angel

Seventeen-year-old Angel Cassonetti lives with her younger siblings and single mother in a house at the Jersey Shore. She has tons of confidence, but not much of a plan for her life. When she finds herself caught between her ex-boyfriend and her best friend’s boyfriend, she realizes that she has to take a step back and figure out what she really wants out of life. You will practically smell the saltwater and sunscreen in the air when you dive into Jersey Angel by Beth Ann Bauman.

Second Chance Summer

When Taylor’s dad gets some devastating news, her parents decide that the family will spend one last summer all together at their old lake house in the Pocono Mountains. The cabin is cramped and a little too rustic for Taylor’s liking, but soon the family begins to reconnect and bond like in the old days. Taylor’s former best friend and her first boyfriend also reappear in her life, but she can’t forget that the clock is winding down on summer and things may never be the same. Second Chance Summer by Morgan Matson is a special summer read that’s set right here in Pennsylvania!

The Story of Us

First of all, the main character of The Story of Us by Deb Caletti is named Cricket – adorable! Deb Caletti is a great writer who is truly in touch with teen life, and this brand new book is no exception. With her mother’s wedding looming, Cricket has decided to take a break from her long-time boyfriend. As she spends a week preparing for the wedding, she finds her life getting complicated by disapproving future step-sisters, a family secret, the arrival of her mom’s soon-to-be husband’s ex, and feelings for a sweet and sexy guy she just met.
