Have you ever counted down to zero on New Year’s Eve? Or watched a top 10 video countdown on MTV? Well, Ridley High School has its very own Top Ten List of the most popular books that are checked out from the library. If you’re interested in reading one of these “Ridley Best-Sellers,” you know where to find them — right here in the library! The list changes all the time, so check back frequently! The book currently occupying the top spot is (drum roll, please …) Rot & Ruin by Jonathan Maberry.

Rot & Ruin by Jonathan MaberryThis page-turner is set in a futuristic version of the country, when most of the world has been turned into a zombie-infested Rot and Ruin. Huge fences surround the few remaining towns, and bounty hunters patrol the roads between them so supplies can pass safely from town to town. 15-year old Benny hopes to follow in his older brother’s footsteps and become a bounty hunter, but when one of the girls from his village is kidnapped, he must head out into the Rot and Ruin and face something that’s even worse than zombies. Don’t miss the sequel, Dust & Decay:

I have a feeling Unwind made it to #4 with some heavy influence from Ms. Pickett! After all, she’s the reason I picked it up. Great recommendation! 🙂

Dust and Decay is a book with a lot of action. It doesn’t start of slow. It is a book that is very difficult to put down and stop reading. At the end of every chapter, it leaves you with a lot of questions and you can not help but keep reading.

Rot and Ruin by Johnathan Maberry is the best book I am reading at the moment. This book is fantastic at keeping you interested in wondering what going to happen next! However, I recommend this book for anyone who is willing to take a short amount of time out of their life to read because when you read this book you will get really interested as well.
